Based in the heart of the Cotswolds, our space is designed to quiet the nervous system, support healthy hair from within, and make your appointment feel like a ritual rather than a routine.
We are redefining what a hair salon can and should be: a serene, restorative environment where hair health, wellbeing, and self-care exist together, rather than as separate ideas.
our philosophy & fundamentals :
Where conventional salons focus solely on the external, Bulb takes a whole-person approach - recognising that the hair bulb is influenced by both internal and external factors.
This is why we prioritise calm environments, silent treatments, grounding rituals, and services that support the nervous system.
our fundamentals are simple:
• Calm over chaos
• Nervous system first
• Root cause thinking
• Future-focused treatments
• Results, not trends
our environment :
Our space was intentionally designed to lower stimulation rather than add to it: serene basin areas, gentle lighting, grounding head spa treatments, curated silence, and unhurried service.
We are one of the few salons where quiet is not awkward - it’s encouraged.
Because hair appointments should feel like part of your wellbeing routine, not another thing your nervous system has to brace for.

what we’re building :
Bulb is both a salon and a sanctuary - a place to feel held, listened to, and understood. Our vision is to move hairdressing into a new era where hair and health are not competing priorities, but two parts of the same conversation.
we exist to :
• Improve hair health at the root
• Reduce salon anxiety & overstimulation
• Offer evidence-based solutions and treatments for hair loss & scalp concerns
• Educate clients in a compassionate, empowering way
• Offer a space people genuinely look forward to visiting
future-focused treatments & service :
We offer the full spectrum of modern hair services with top stylists - cut, colour, styling, extensions and more. But what makes Bulb different is our commitment to addressing the internal side of hair health with the same care as the external.
Alongside our stylists, clients can access:
• Full body health screenings
• Longevity & functional medicine consultations
• PRP for hair growth
• Microneedling & hair regeneration treatments
• Peptides & supplement guidance
• IV drip therapy
• Scalp analysis & hair MOTS
• Mesh integration
• Oncology-informed touch therapies
• Stress-reduction Japanese head spa rituals & nervous system care
These services allow us to support clients going through hormonal changes, stress-related shedding, autoimmune triggers, postpartum hair loss, perimenopause, thyroid imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, medication-related hair changes, and more.

me
Bulb was born from curiosity and a simple question that kept coming up for me: if stress and health is one of the leading contributors to hair loss, why is the salon experience often so overstimulating and overwhelming?
I’ve always been drawn to health beyond just diet and exercise - the whole-body picture.
How things like stress, sleep, hormones and nervous system regulation have an influence our hair. I experienced this first hand with my own hair around 2 years ago, and I soon realised hair health and whole health are never separate.
So wanted to create a space that reflected that reality. A salon that felt calmer, kinder, and more aligned with how the body actually functions. A space that looks after the scalp as much as the colour, the nervous system as much as the cut, and the person as much as the hair.
Bulb is the salon I couldn’t find: a space designed to lower stress, support health, and make people feel genuinely cared for. A place where how you feel matters just as much as how your hair looks.

I wanted a name that was quick, and happy! Fun, but bold. I wanted it to mean something, and I needed to be able to play on the word, to be able to create a brand from it. Our whole ethos surrounds growth beginning from within.
At the end of every strand of your hair lives a little ‘bulb’, the heart of your hair, where the goodness develops and growth begins! Bulbs are also a symbol of new beginnings, ideas, and things emerging beneath the surface before they bloom.
I was on a spontaneous trip to Zermatt at the start of 2024, I felt really happy, excited, free! I was in a good moment in my life. Looking back, it was the perfect moment for me to discover the name, and be able to describe everything that had been going on in my head as a whole word. I was reading a hair health book on the train, on the page in front of me was a picture of the hair structure. My eyes were drawn to the word bulb. I knew immediately.
The more I thought about it the more I realised how perfect it was, so many meanings behind the word bulb relate to what I want the brand to be. The word and our ethos has the perfect link, just like hair and health.
